Dear Avery,

That hair! Those lashes!
Conrad loves auntie Sof.

Dear Avery,
Thanks for coming over to play. I think you're the prettiest skunk that ever lived. It was lots of fun playing with cups in the bath and making our hair into mohawks. You're sweeter than the syrup on my Ego. Thanks for the hugs and kisses, and for not poking my eyes out.

Love your friend,
Conrad

Weekend in photos

At Sunset park we sat on that blanket I found at the GW (3 years ago for 7 dollars), while Daddy tinckered with that camera we now love, and you posed shirtless clinching your red stacking cup and proudly modeling your hounds tooth cap (that I went back to the store to buy in a bigger size once you grew out of the smaller one)..... You drank your bottle in my arms, batting at chunks of my hair that dangled above you, tickling your belly. You gazed up at the branches, finally blocking sunshine from your eyes with the back of your hand.
Astonished at the handsomness that my two foxes bestowed upon me
...as I snapped this photo.
You guys are pretty handsome.
Jimmy Neutron???
I think so!
That hair is out of control!
Self portrait, I photographed myself photographing...
Couldn't believe I fit into my old pencil skirt.
Dustin didn't break a sweat trying to snap a dress or zip a skirt??
I think we have a miracle on our hands people.
Celebrating her 25th, My sister and I danced on sticky floors singing
Journey at the top of our lungs.
L & C
rocking it hard on the piano.
With eye brows raised, she says
"Can I help you? I'm kind of busy with my baby boo.."
"Alright alright! I'll let you two party. Carry on!" I say.

We had a wonderful weekend.
Although Dustin is plagued with a cold,
our weekend was wonderfully peaceful and restful.
We spent much time cooking and going on walks with friends,
and play dates, and homemade pizzas, and episodes of The Mighty Boosh.

It was incredible.

Gourds! Gourds! & More Gourds!

10:30 Is way too late to be up giving you a bath!

Looking into the eyes of the storm:
10:30 Is way past your bed time young man! But you're up, because you're a crazy little baby with a mind of your own and on this particular night, you decided (after you'd already been asleep for 3 hours) that it was time to party, "Not time to sleep Mommy!" Oh, well goodness, in that case, lets just stay up all night and stuff our faces with candy until we throw up! NOT!

It's time for bed MR!

After countless failed attempts to rock your (spoiled) butt to sleep, we decided a hot bath was in order. You gave us one of those adorably-devilish, crazy laughs of yours and we knew we had to fight hard against your cute-evil baby powers. Daddy gave you a foot rub with lavender oil to relax you, (we were exhausted and about to put you in a basket on the neighbors door step if you didn't simmer down quick.) Your bath was lovely until we heard bubbles in the water and realized you had "sharted". Your cute-bubbly "sharts" had us laughing, and quickly had us gagging. We realized we were in the eye of a full blown crap-storm! "Hurricane Conrad's ass" was sparing no one. The water was mustard colored, it was sick. (I had to go there.) Sorry. We drained the tub, and bath time was over. Dustin stood Conrad up against the side of the tub and I washed the clumps of crap off. It was sick....I already said that.

And you were still giggling away into the wee hours. You crazy little baby you!

{Where was "O" You ask?? He was off on adventures fighting dragons and shooting pistols at bad guys. He's a mover and a shaker and can't be stopped. That's just how he rolls. He doesn't take life sitting down. Conrad and his Lady Love, ("L") were holding still, posing for their "most beautiful baby blues" contest. Instead of staring contests, they have pose-and-stare-into-the camera contests.}

Owl V-neck Cardigan for baby boy:

Our little baby owl will have his own owl attire.
{Dada & Conrad making bird mouths. Baby bird 2 weeks old}

This is a sweater that I got when I was pregnant from Target for a whole $2.00 on the clearance rack. Go me! It was drab, and I made it fab with hounds tooth corduroy elbow pads, and a googly-button-eyed owl with a crooked beak (Thanks to Morgans sewing machine. Our afternoon crafting time is my fav. You should see some of the amazing girlie things she has made. Her vintagie girl dresses are out-of-this-world. Can't wait to see Eliza in them!)
It's sad when you shop for boy clothes and you only have two puny racks to choose from, and yet the girls clothes rack is bursting with adorableness from wall to all....which inspires me to create things that I love, that a boy can wear.

{More to come!}
Look out for Morgan's Etsy shop coming soon.

6 Months:

Calm, cool & collected @ 3 months:
Confidence is just beaming off of him.
Look at that bad ass-stare he's giving me....He's SO owning' this scale.
Angry, half naked & cold @ 6 months:
He so wants to own the scale... but isn't really feeling' it.
One of the funniest things about raising this Lil' monster is feeding him solids. He gets angry because he expects his food to come in a constant flow like it would if he were drinking a bottle and it doesn't. He will get mad if I take too long scraping the excess food from the spoon onto the side of the bowl. He would much rather I slop it right in there as fast as possible and make a big mess than be neat and savor each bite. His fits have gotten so bad, at times, I've had to take him out of his high chair and calm him down because he wants his food faster than I'm able to shovel it, and gets frustrated. It's really adorable, but It kind of scares me how much he loves food.

This is such a fun age though. SIX months!!! Wow, time flies!

I love Conrad's belly laughs when I growl and nibble on his fingers, he thinks it's the funniest thing ever. His favorite toy is mail. If we walk to the mail box, and I have my boy, and my mail in the same arm, Conrad will make sure to soak each envelope in baby goo. He loves to crinkle paper more than he loves anything that flashes or squeaks.

Happy 6 months of life, little love.

This weekend in photos:

{ I like it when Dustin grabs the camera & captures the gooiness of our lil' peanut! }
He reaches up when you go to pick him up now, and he gives hugs....He's incredible.
