(I like these shorts because the legs kind of balloon out and they're super comfy.
My Mom was stumped as to what to pair them with, but this blue fluffy shirt looks fun with it.
Although I kind of think I should be juggling, or balancing something on my head...Clowns aren't the only ones who wear ruffles! Ruffles are in right? )
This was the perfect outfit for the movies. We went on a double date with Adam & Sarah
to see Eclipse for the {second} time. It's that good y'all.
{team Edward...}
I am wearing:
Shorts: Anthropologie (Mom's closet!)
Shirt: Buffalo Exchange (Mom's closet!)
If I can tuck a shirt in, I do. I think tucked in shirts make petite people not look like trolls.
That's what I'm going for with the tucked in shirt.

Shoes & Belt: Old Navy
*It's really awesome that we can share and play dress up together. But it's TOO bad I can't keep these shorts forever. Borrowing is fun, but owning them and wearing them til' the seams fall apart is much better. So If you leave a comment, her name is CINDI, she's my mom and her closet and sense of style would make you sick. I love her to pieces. I think I should start a blog for her to show case all of her adorable little outfits....
yeah, tuck.
ReplyDeleteOOOOOOOHHHH Mama Cindi...we need to talk. That outfit is HOT!
ReplyDeletei wish MY mom had a closet like YOUR mom!!!
ReplyDeleteLove both the shorts and top SO MUCH. Your mom has killer clothes!
ReplyDeleteI agree about tucking shirts in. I love it.. I used to feel like I was an old lady for doing it, but now I'm over it.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your whole outfit. The fabrics of the shirt and shorts definitely compliment each other!
raiding mom's closet is the best! i always borrow my mom's bottega veneta purse... i'm secretly hoping she'll pass it down to me one day!
ReplyDeletei am loving those yellow shorts. they are tailored but still fun!
p.s. i like the edward shot in the background :)
Suuuuch a sweet outfit. I love that the main pieces are the statement and that you went more neutral on the shoes and belt. i tend to lean the other way, but I may need to mix it up like that. Nice you can share with your mom too :) (Hey Mom, let her keep the shorts!) ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable outfit-- love the shoes and the belt.
ReplyDeletePS-- I also love your home decor in the background.
PPS-- I also love that you've got Edward on your computer in the background :)
AHhhhhh your so sweet Chelsea!!! That's one way to get your mama to let you keep those yellow shorts. They're Yours, my adorable cute daughter!!! Anthro has same ones in a darker taupe color i want too anyway!! ha-hahe
ReplyDeleteLove ya lotz, your ma
How cute is that!
ReplyDeletemy husband hates when I tuck stuff in...I love it and it is SO much more attractive. Ugh....
ReplyDeleteYOU look adorable, love the red lips so much!
I am a petite person, and my torso goes to my knees, but I never tuck anything in because I think it makes my butt look big. I can't win, I think.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors by the way!!
Thanks Ladies! I do enjoy being about to share clothes with my Mom. We bought the same dress recently at Anthropologie without knowing it, and I returned mine because it seemed pointless to have the same dress when we could share 2 different dresses! We've done that a few times where we've both bought the same outfits and not known it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mom! What's mine is yours anyway.
I'm DYING to wear this black-lace dress of hers that I remember her wearing back when I was in the 2nd grade. She's had it FOREVER and it's totally still relevant and cute. I just need a reason to wear it!
That outfit is adorable...I love how the shorts flare out at the leg. And yay for Team Edward!!
ReplyDeleteThat is just so amazing - love it all... AND I love how the room in the back is decorated!
ReplyDeleteI love the color arrangements! And you are right about tucking in, I should do it more often!! And I LOVE the wall color!! :D
ReplyDeleteLUCKY!! That outfit is amazing and I totally can't believe it belongs to your mother!!
ReplyDeletemy mom is really stylish too! i don't live near her though so i can't share anymore : ( i LOVE the color of those shorts and the color combo of the navy and lime/yellow.

ReplyDeleteRuffles are definitely in - at least in my world!
