Summer Fashion Week: Thursday

{I just wanted to start by letting you lovely ladies know that your comments yesterday, your words of encouragment, and prayers really meant a lot to me. You guys are amazing.
Thank you.}

We spent the afternoon celebrating our friend Adam's birthday at
Sarah's parents house and went swimming.
I ate way too much cake...
Here's what I wore to camouflage my "cake" belly.
(Sorry about the photo quality. Darn you auto focus!)
*I really LOVE the back of the romper.
(Please ignore the statue pose. I'm not sure what's going on with my arms....)

I am wearing:
Romper: Khols
Shoes: Old Navy
Earrings: F21
Bracelet: Africa

*I was going to take a close up of my shoes, but thought you might get grossed out. I've got a missing toe nail. No worries, I painted over the skin with nail polish to fool anyone who might notice.

  5. *I know you know a thing or two about losing toe nails Jess! I need some new shoes like asap! I'm really starting to feel them falling apart!

I think it depends on the lighting, but I haven't dyed my hair. I think it just looks a little darker in these photos. Thanks though ladies for the kind words! I sometimes want to chop it off, but I don't think I i will anytime soon. The worst thing about longer hair is when you sleep and it gets caught in your arm pits and then your hair smells like arm pit! Gross.

As far as working out goes, I do push ups, sit ups, and lunges. I don't lift weights. I run a lot and I do dips on the park benches that are on a trail I run. Thanks!

  7. You are seriously adorable. You make me want to be petite. And my goal post pregnancy is to get your arms and legs. They are awesome!

I also like the clothes. And am digging your lipstick and cute. I inherited ginormous lips from my parents and every time I attempt the lipstick I think I look scary.

  8. You totally encouraged me and blessed me with your support yesterday...thank you. I actually had the best night with my husband. And when I said writing about marriage didn't feel appropriate for me, I meant that out of respect for Mike I'm not writing about it. He is pretty private that way. I on the other hand am an open book. Anyway, thanks again.
    ...and I LOVE the romper.

  9. That's awesome Meghan. I'm glad you guys had a good night.

Dustin's given me the crazy eye and been like "REALLY? You're writing about my boners?! Awesome!" (sarcasm). He's a lot more private than I am too.

Sarita, I say Rock those lips. You're so gorgeous, it doesn't matter what you do, big lips or not! ;)

  16. Cute! What is your tattoo of on the back of your neck?

  17. you're so adorable! I love it. the look of rompers are growing on me, but they have to be just right. you totally nailed it & you rock this romper! & I love the crochet back. it's like a little surprise when you turn around.

and you're hair is gorgeous. I wish I had long enough hair to put in a braid like you have but I can never put up with it long enough for it to grow out & end up just chopping it off. you look beautiful. :)

  18. I have one tattoo. I got it when I was 18. I still love it but want to get it touched up. It's a sacred heart. I got it to symbolize the love relationship we have with God. The heart is broken but has thorns around it. When David is called "a man after my own heart." by God, but yet, he's had this conflict of sin that he's wrestled with-or rather, although he's made some bad choices, God still views him as righteous because of Jesus. Davids whole story really touches me.

I just really love David in the bible and wanted a heart to symbolize who God said he was in spite of his failures or sin. He was a gifted poet and warrior and musician. I kind of think that if we knew him today, he'd be super hot like Rob Pattz or something. I think the ladies would be crushing on him hard.

anyway, that's probably more information than you wanted to know.
    ;)

  21. PS...I meant to say that your lipsticky lips have a super cute shape. Is that weird?

Im apparently not finishing my sentences today.

And thanks Chelsea. Joel referred to you as my new internet girl crush this morning. Because I think you are darling and cool and junk. And complimentary, who wouldnt crush on that?

  22. This is a damn cute romper! And your lipstick is making me want to go and find a few coral hued sticks. I'm still lusting after MAC's "Russian Red" ever since Inglorious Basterds.

  23. You ladies are super sweet. Sarita, you're a doll! I like you too!!!!!! A whole lot! Can't wait to see your sweet baby! Gah! Are you just so excited or what!?

Mama Mandolin, I have the same frustrations with one pieces. That's why I just pull it to the side when I pee.... I'm just saying, the same trick might work with a romper...? Don't tell anyone I told you that. ;)

I'll stop on by your blog for sure!
