I kind of feel like my mom has inspired or impacted every aspect of what
"fashion" means to me today.
When I was a kid I thought her need to be "put together" was silly, or that she acted "too pretty" with her lip stick and high heels, but now that I'm all grown up, those same high heels and bright lips makes me feel EMPOWERED! It makes me feel like a woman to wear lipstick. So honestly, everything "fashionable" about me, is due to my mother because she has never been able to fit into any kind of box, she has never "gone along with the trends" she just wears what she likes and she always looks cute. So cheers to you mom. I am often times jealous of the outfits you manage to put together.
You're cute mom. I like shopping with you and I'll admit, you're WAY more fashionable than I am.
I said it... Get over yourself. You're probably reading this smiling.
I am wearing:
Bird sweater: Anthropologie- gift from Mom
Shirt: Polo-thrifted
Skirt- American Eagle-thrifted
Tights-gap
Boots-Nordstrom rack
Scarf-Buffalo Exchange
We went to the Post office, thrift store in search of a big black sheet, and got some lunch in this outfit.
THEN when we got home and I threw these clothes off and put on my sweats and hoodie.
When we were visiting friends in Texas a few months ago, they pointed out that every time we went somewhere,
I put on my outfit and then when we got home, I changed into something comfortable.
DOES ANYONE ELSE DO THIS OR AM I THE ONLY IDIOT WHO
CHANGES CLOTHES MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY????
When I'm at home, I wear PJ'S but if I have to go somewhere or have a guest over, I change into appropriate clothes.
Is this normal? (please tell me someone else does this too...)
Here are a few pics of my little man sandwich from this past week.
We had another play date at the pumpkin patch and he rode another really fun ride.
Smiles and clapping to prove how fun it was!
Conrad enjoying his sea weed snack on the ride....
{Happy Friday!}
Check out my plate wall post below.
Such lovely photos on your blog!!! Those boots are awesome. And no, you aren't the only one who changes. Unless I'm already in a t-shirt and jeans, I immediately change when I get home. Which is why the laundry pile is always out of control :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your outfit. The whole thing is absolutely amazing. Your boots are fantastic and the scarf is so fun and bright! But mostly I love your bird sweater! You look great! And your little guy is probably, no he is one of the cutest little boys I've even seen.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I forgot to add this. I change clothes at least once a day....and not including the first time I get dressed from my pjs.
ReplyDeleteThat sweater is AMAZING! I absolutely love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd I change into comfy clothes after work, if that makes you feel better.
The sweater and boots are to die for!!! You have such great style and a very cute kid!!
ReplyDeleteI totally change clothes multiple times a day. I try to rectify it by doing most of the laundry, but that rarely happens.
ReplyDeleteYou look great, as always! Adorable sweater :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE that sweater!! Is it from this season??
ReplyDeleteAnd Contrad's jacket is adorable too. And yes, I totally change multiple times a day too.
I think the sweater is like 2 seasons ago. Thanks! <3
ReplyDeleteI love that blue sweater - so gorgeous! My favorite outfit of the week so far. :)
ReplyDeleteI thought I was the only one! I change into "normal clothes" when I go somewhere and the second I get home I change into comfy clothes. I sometimes don't get how someone could stay dressy all day long at their house. I'll have to try it :)
ReplyDelete((You're style in fab! Get 'em girl))
Such a wonderful and unique outfit which makes it AWESOME! I love the whole thing but of course the sweater especially. Your lil man is adorable too!
ReplyDeleteThat sweater makes my heart beat just a little bit faster in my chest!
ReplyDeleteChels, this is by far my FAVORITE outfit this week. You look young, chic and just cute, cute, cute. The girls at my work say you look like a model (a short model, thou) ha-haha. And thank you for the sweet compliment. I think dressing up is lots of fun, but also just putting on lipstick with compfy sweats to go to the grcoery store is pretty okay too. Love YA Lotz, Mom
ReplyDeleteyou are way better than me Chelsea..at least you look decent for guests. i know i scare people when they come for playdates with their kids and i have greasy hair and no make-up and in mismatched pj's with holes. I still dont even wear my boots with heels to church...ugh
ReplyDeleteLove it! So cute.
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing.. I love being in comfy clothes when I'm home!
Yes, I do it too! You wanna be comfy at home, y'know?
ReplyDeleteI think I probably wear three different complete outfits in a given day!! I thought everyone did that...
ReplyDeleteLOVE the skirt and anthro sweater. And I change clothes a lot during the day too, I think it's totally normal=]
ReplyDeleteThe first thing I did tonight when I got home what put on yoga pants. You are not alone. I love that skirt!!!! The embroidery on the sweater is also really fun.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the huge red scarf and the big buttons on the skirt... can't have enough big buttons!
ReplyDeleteI think my neighbors probably think I'm crazy because every time I leave the house, I'm wearing something different.. some days I change like 3 or 4 times. Oh well, I like to dress for whatever I'm doing.
ReplyDeleteThat sweater is stunning. Ugh, I want it!
ReplyDeleteyou were in my This Girl Loves post today!! :)
ReplyDeleteyour outfit is super cute!!! love everything about it! stop being so darn cayoote!
